Material | Chrysanthemum Stone |
Dimensions | 13.3 cm wide X 14.6 cm high X 5.7 cm deep |

Base or Tray Notes | The daiza was with the stone when purchased. It appears older and more crudely done than one would expect to see with a stone of this quality. The daiza was most likely made for the stone and because of its "historic" association I am inclined to keep and show them together |

Material: Calcite

Base or Tray Notes: The contemporary modular base was designed as a contrast to the stone’s many curves and cavities. A core construct of square American Walnut pegs was used to seat the stone in this vertical alignment. Once the stone was stabilized in this position, additional embellishing pegs were added peripherally, for a total of 96 individual pegs.
About the stone: This abstract Chinese stone has been balanced in a traditional vertical style
